  Legacy Mitsubishi Controller Upgrade Tool v1.0
  Provided by VRFTools.com
===============================================================================

WHAT THIS TOOL DOES
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This tool reads the group configuration from a legacy Mitsubishi centralized
controller (AG-150, G-50, and similar models) over your network and builds an
AE-C400A configuration file (a ".dat" file) for the new controller.

You then open that .dat file in the Mitsubishi AE-C400 Initial Settings Tool
(ISToolAEC) to review the configuration and write it to the new controller.

The .dat file CANNOT be loaded directly into the controller. It is an Initial
Settings Tool project file and must be opened there first.

WHAT GETS CONVERTED
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following information is read from the old controller and carried into the
new AE-C400A configuration:

  * Controller / building name
  * Group (indoor unit) names
  * M-Net addresses and which units belong to which group
  * Unit types (IC indoor units, LC Lossnay / ERV ventilation units)
  * Group icons (translated to the AE-C400A icon set)
  * Blocks (areas) - the block names and which groups belong to each block
  * Temperature unit (Fahrenheit / Celsius)
  * The controller's IP address and subnet mask (reused as the new
    controller's network settings)

WHAT IS NOT CONVERTED
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following are NOT carried over and must be set up in the AE-C400 Initial
Settings Tool (or on the new controller) after import:

  * Floor settings and floor layouts - floor names, floor plans, and the
    on-screen X/Y placement of units on those plans
  * Schedules and timers
  * Interlock control settings
  * Energy management and apportioned (tenant billing) settings
  * Advanced network settings beyond IP / subnet (gateway, DNS, proxy, cloud)
  * E-mail / alarm notification settings
  * Any setting the legacy controller does not expose through its data API

Some optional items (icons, blocks) are only available on newer legacy
firmware. If the old controller does not provide them, those items are skipped
and can be set manually in the Initial Settings Tool.

HOW TO USE IT
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. Connect your PC to the same network as the legacy controller.
  2. Run Legacy_Controller_Upgrade.exe.
  3. Enter the legacy controller's IP address and click Run.
  4. When prompted, choose a folder and file name to save the .dat file.
  5. Open the saved .dat file in the AE-C400 Initial Settings Tool.
  6. Review every setting - especially group names, icons, and blocks - and
     recreate any floor layouts or other items listed above, then write the
     configuration to the new controller.

REQUIREMENTS
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  * Windows PC with the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.x (preinstalled on
    Windows 8.1 and later). No installation or administrator rights required.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Always review the generated configuration in the AE-C400 Initial Settings Tool
and verify every setting before commissioning. You are responsible for
confirming the configuration is correct for the installation.
